Young Man Dies One Week After Being Struck By Car
A young man who had been struck by a car in South Barrington on April 30, 2012 died this past weekend.
Cole Deacon, of Palatine, was in the Barrington Road near Terra Vita Drive around 1:30 a.m. on the late April night. Terra Vita Drive at this point leads to a subdivision and is located near Willow Creek Community Church. That is when the 19-year-old man was hit by a 2003 Toyota Corolla driven by a Schaumburg man.
Deacon suffered severe injuries including a major brain injury and numerous fractures. He was being treated at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital for these injuries. The Cook County Coroner’s office planned to do an autopsy. The initial investigation has not found out why Deacon was in the street and citations have not been issued at this time.
