Soup recalled due to possible allergic reactions

Bay Valley Foods, an Illinois-based company, has announced the recall of canned Chef’s Cupboard Chicken and Rice Soup due to ingredients in the soup not being on the label.

The soup was made with Vegetarian Vegetable soup which contains egg and wheat. Egg and wheat are not listed on the label of the can meaning that a person who is allergic to either ingredient would be unaware that they were consuming the substance causing the person to have a possible life-threatening allergic reaction.

The recalled products were distributed nationwide in Aldi’s stores and have a ‘best if used by date’ of 1-05-2010. Bay Valley is urging consumers to not eat the product and to return it to an Aldi store for a refund.
