Man flees scene of accident, faces 7 charges
On Monday around 4:30 p.m., a Bourbonnais man was arrested in relation to a hit-and-run accident.
The 34-year-old driver crashed his Oldsmobile Alero into a tree near Hanson Drive. As he was driving away from the scene of the accident, he subsequently dragged a witness with him. The witness to the car accident claims that he was reaching for the keys to the vehicle when the vehicle lunged forward.
The witness was pulled by the car for approximately 25 to 30 feet. The driver also dragged a police officer with his vehicle before being apprehended. He faces seven charges in relation to leaving the scene of the hit-and-run accident.
