Driver Crashes into Home After Speeding Away From Police
A Libertyville home was damaged when a car struck the side after attempting to elude police.
On Saturday, May 5, police noticed a car traveling at a high rate of speed around 12:30 a.m. on Route 176. The driver managed to dodge the police but officers later found Andrew T. Gregory, 19, still in his car on the 800 block of Valley Park Drive with broad damages to the front-end of the car. His car went off the road and had struck the home.
The Libertyville teen suffered minor injuries from the accident. The residents of the home were inside at the time of the crash but they were not injured. The home suffered structural damage although the extent was not known. Gregory has been charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, criminal damage to property, two counts of speeding, three counts of disobeying a stop sign, reckless driving and driving too fast for conditions.
