Car Hit By Truck, Just Misses Hitting Kankakee House

It was a near miss for a Kankakee house when a car jumped a curb on Greenwood Avenue, injuring two people in the process. The car was hit by a truck that lead the car to going over the curb and coming within inches of the house.

According to the Daily Journal, Theresa Jones stated her two children normally play in front of the house but they were in the back yard at the time of the crash. The Kankakee Fire Department was called and spent fourteen minutes removing two people from the car just outside of the front porch of the house. These two people were taken to Provena St. Mary’s Hospital. Privacy laws prevented the release of the victims’ names.
