Two semi-trucks were involved in an accident with two mini-vans on I-90 on Tuesday.
According to Illinois State Police, the multi-vehicle accident on I-90 backed up traffic as three of the vehicles caught fire because of the wreck. The accident occurred as one of the semi-trucks collided with another semi-truck. This collision caused the truck to then hit two mini vans.
The fuel tank off of one other trucks was ripped off along with the fuel tank of one of the mini vans. This caused both vans and one truck to catch on fire. One of the truck drivers was transported to the hospital, but he has since been released. He was also charged with failure to reduce speed.
