Two people killed when car collides with semi on I-57
Authorities report that two people from Kankakee were killed on Thursday when their car collided with a semi-truck on I-57 on Thursday. The victims were a 30-year-old man, who was driving a Chevy Impala, and his 20-year-old girlfriend, who was riding as a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The crash occurred at 11:58 a.m. when the Impala collided with a semi truck and overturned in the northbound lanes of the highway. Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle in the crash. The driver was airlifted to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries, and the passenger was pronounced dead at a local hospital on Thursday.
