Two people killed in separate Iroquois County crashes
Two people were killed in separate Iroquois County car accidents that both occurred on Sunday.
According to police officials, the first accident occurred at the intersection of 1800N and 500E when a 30-year-old Onarga man was killed after his truck collided with an SUV.
The man ran a stop sign which caused him to hit the truck and he was pronounced dead by emergency officials just after 11:25 a.m. Two passengers in this vehicle were both transported to the hospital as a result of the crash.
The second accident occurred as the a Cissna Park man was traveling on 1980E Road and his motorcycle collided with a deer. The man was pronounced dead just 15 minutes after emergency crews arrived at the scene.
