Two-car crash on I-94 injures one
The Illinois State Police department has reported that a two-vehicle accident occurred along Interstate 64 at milepost 72 on Tuesday, December 22 at around 1:20 p.m. and resulted in the injury of one individual. The people involved in the accident were identified as 18-year-old Christopher, Illinois resident October Marchal and 25-year-old Knoxville, Tennessee resident Brett Hamlin.
According to preliminary investigations, Marchal’s car had overheated and caused her to pull over to the shoulder; meanwhile, Hamlin told police officials that his vehicle was behind a westbound semi at milepost 72 when a car in front of him made an abrupt lane change that forced him to swerve to the left lane, thus causing the collision with Marchal’s vehicle.
Marchal was taken to the Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove to receive treatment for her non-life-threatening wounds.
