A 17-year-old teenager is now in stable condition after she was involved in a head-on truck accident on Friday. As a result of the accident, the teen was transported to Loyola Medical Center in order to be treated for serious injuries.
The Kankakee County sheriff’s office stated that the cause of the accident will not be known until a reconstruction of the accident is complete. This investigation could take more 30 days.
The accident occurred at 8:30 a.m. when an SUV collided with a garbage truck. The woman had to be extricated from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life. The driver of the truck was not injured and has not been charged at this time.
