Taxi Cab Hits Woman in Lincoln Park Accident
A pedestrian in the Lincoln Park neighborhood was hit by a cab and sent tot the hospital.
The 21-year-old woman was at the intersection of Ashland and Fullerton when the accident occurred between two taxi cars. One of the taxis ran a red light and hit a second taxi. That sent the second car towards the sidewalk in which the second car hit the woman before crashing into a liquor store.
The young woman was sent to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she is in stable but serious condition. The driver of the second cab and a passenger in the first cab suffered minor injuries. The driver of the first cab, Kakajan Islamov, was treated and released. The 27-year-old Chicago resident was later cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
