Storms in Kankakee cause injury
There were no tornadoes, but high winds and hail caused caused many injuries across Kankakee and left the emergency crews very busy.
An employee at the Wal-Mart in Bradley was taken to Provena St. Mary’s Hospital after the carts that she was pushing were struck by lightening and she was shocked.
Also, a driver suffered non-life threatening injuries after his semi-truck overturned while he was traveling down Interstate 57 during the storm. Many other people lost power as a result of the storm.
