Rural two-vehicle crash results in death of 52-year-old woman

A two-vehicle collision that occurred southwest of Rantoul on Tuesday resulted in the death of 52-year-old Jamie L. Froman. According to reports, the collision took place at an unmarked rural intersection when Froman’s sedan was struck by a pickup truck driven by Gibson City resident John E. Roth.

Froman was pronounced dead at the scene, while Roth did not sustain serious injuries in the incident. Both of the vehicles involved in the crash had to be towed from the scene. According to Champaign County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Vercler, Roth had the right of way at the time of the accident, and there were no apparent visual obstructions that would have contributed to the accident.

The thoughts of everyone at Spiros Law, P.C., go out to those affected by this tragic accident.
