Restaurant Opening Marred by Car Crashing Through Window
The grand opening of a restaurant in Evergreen Park on Monday was interrupted with a big booming sound when a car came through the front window.
Famous Dave’s opened its newest location at 95th and Francisco Streets on November 19th. But around 3 p.m.., a female driver went through the front window from her parking spot in front of the bbq sandwich store. Just inches away from the Honda Accord, a family was eating a meal in the new store.
The driver and a woman inside the building were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. It was determined that the woman hit the accelerator pedal instead of the brake as she had intended.
