One killed in semi-trailer accident near construction site
One Chicago man was killed as a result of a semi-trailer accident that occurred on Interstate 65 in central Indiana.
According to Indiana State Police, the accident occurred when the semi-trailer collided with the rear of another vehicle that was stopped in traffic. The collision caused a fire because the truck that was hit was carrying petroleum products and paint and it caused both vehicles to be engulfed in flames.
The 23-year-old driver of the truck that rear-ended the other car, was killed as a result of the crash. The lanes of traffic were then closed so that crews could clean up the spill and clear the scene. The other driver was not injured in the crash.
Our thoughts and condolences are with the friends and family of the victim.
