More than twenty passengers were injured in a Megabus accident that occurred in a northbound lane of Interstate 65 near Indianapolis, The Chicago Tribune reported on October 14.
The bus, driving from Atlanta to Chicago, was struck by a car at around 4:30 a.m. in Greenwood, Indiana. According to State Police Sgt. Shawn O’Keefe, a vehicle swerved into the bus to avoid an accident; the Megabus “‘overcorrected'” and flipped onto its side as a result. Almost half of the 56 passengers on board were admitted to the hospital for injuries, at least six of which were considered serious.
