McHenry Head-On Collision Takes the Life of One Man, Send Another to the Hospital

McHenry County was the scene of a two-car collision that took the life of a Grand Prairie man on Friday morning.
Roderick Mann, 86, was driving his 2012 Lincoln MKZ westbound in the 22900 block of U.S. 20 in unincorporated Marengo Township on January 5th. Around 6 a.m. the Lincoln entered the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a 1998 Honda sedan.
The driver of the Honda, Stephan A. Ford, 63, was declared dead at the scene of the accident. The Grand Prairie resident did not have airbags in his Honda and nor was he wearing a seat belt. Lincolnshire resident Mann was taken to Centegra Hopsital Woodstock and treated for non-life threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
