Man arrested after hit-and-run accident in Kankakee
A 43-year-old Kankakee man has come forward after being involved in a hit-and-run accident in downtown Kankakee.
The accident left a 52-year-old St. Anne woman seriously injured. According to police officials, the accident occurred in the Key City Liquors parking lot when the man backed into the woman and then immediately left the scene.
The woman was transported to Provena St. Mary’s Hospital where she is currently in intensive care. The man has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident where great bodily harm was caused.
