Kankakee Mechanic Killed by Falling Truck
Enrique Serrano, a mechanic at Acme Auto Parts in Kankakee, Illinois, was killed on Wednesday when the truck he was working on fell and crushed him underneath. The 51-year-old mechanic was working beneath a Ford Ranger when the end loader holding up the vehicle gave out, causing it to fall directly on top of him. According to Acme owner Mike Baker, the end loader’s forks were not properly attached, leading to the accident.
Other employees on the scene quickly removed the truck from on top of Serrano and emergency personnel rushed him to a nearby hospital. He was pronounced dead at Presence St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee.
The entire legal team of Spiros Law, P.C., extends our sympathies to the victim and his family in this tragic situation.
