Kankakee driver rollover

An 84-year-old resident was extracted from his upside-down car by Kankakee firefighters following a crash on Tuesday, April 6. The traffic accident occurred at 10:20 a.m. on Court Street and Entrance Avenue when the man failed to stop at a red light and struck another vehicle turning from North Entrance Avenue onto Court Street.

The 84-year-old man’s vehicle careened from the other vehicle, continuing off the road and striking a tree before rolling over onto its roof. Police ticketed the man with failure to stop. Both drivers were taken to Provena St. Mary’s hospital, although no serious injuries were sustained by either.
