Jordan Butler, Live on Air
Spiros Law Associate Attorney, Jordan Butler, was recently interviewed by two local radio stations: WIVR River Country and WLVI The Valley. During these interviews, Jordan discussed the various road hazards drivers should be aware of during winter weather conditions. With the first real snowstorm of the winter last week, some drivers may have been caught off guard by how slick the roads can become.
Jordan reminded listeners that the most important thing to do during these hazardous road conditions is to slow down, pay attention, and drive defensively. Being a defensive driver when the weather is bad and paying attention to the drivers around you helps ensure that you make it to your destination safely. It is also important to leave early during these conditions to avoid the added pressure of feeling you need to hurry. In addition, Jordan elaborated on how drivers’ vision might become impaired due to blowing snow and fog in the mornings.
If you are involved in a motor vehicle accident, Jordan discussed a few things that you, as a driver, should be sure to do. The first thing he reminded listeners of is to pull the car over, if possible, and immediately call the police. Law enforcement officials will be able to generate a report and take statements from all drivers involved. If you are able to, take pictures of your own vehicle, as well as any others involved in the collision. Most importantly, Jordan reminded listeners to immediately seek medical attention if you feel as though you have been injured.
After making sure you are safe and have been treated for any injuries, Jordan encouraged people involved in an accident to hire an advocate, such as our attorneys at Spiros Law, P.C. Our attorneys benefit injured persons by taking the stress off the victim and allowing them to solely focus on recovery. Being injured can be a traumatic experience, and you shouldn’t be left to deal with an insurance company that treats you unfairly. Our compassionate attorneys can fight for you to receive the compensation you deserve. Lastly, Jordan told listeners to not hesitate in reaching out to one of our attorneys if an injury has been sustained.
