Illinois-based company announced recall of salmon products
An Illinois-based company has now announced the recall of salmon-based products after the batch was allegedly contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Vita Food Products, Inc. recalled the 8,088 packs of “Premium Sliced Smoked Atlantic Nova Salmon” that have the recall date of Dec. 15, 2011. The recalled products come with 4 to 5 slices per pack and could have been purchased beginning July 25.
The products were sold at Publix, Meijer, Winn-Dixie, and Safeway stores in South Carolina, Georgia, Alaska, California, Oregon, Maryland, and Idaho.
