Fatal Wheaton crash suspect assigned $500,000 bail
Authorities set a $500,000 bail for 22-year-old Bolingbrook, Illinois resident Luis Jimenez, who is facing aggravated driving under the influence charges in relation to a fatal car accident in Wheaton, the local branch of the Chicago Tribune reported on May 20.
Jimenez, who lives at the 500 block of Racine Street, allegedly went for a drive at 2 a.m. accompanied by 24-year-old Sean Hurley and an unnamed victim, resulting in Hurley’s death. The other passenger was critically injured. Hurley, who had been riding shotgun, died at the scene of the crash. If convicted, Jimenez may serve up to 14 years of prison time.
