A car accident occurred this past Saturday morning in Alsip when a passenger vehicle collided with the back of a semitrailer truck, resulting in serious injuries to both the driver and his passenger.
The 32-year-old driver and his 37-year-old female passenger had to be removed from the vehicle by firefighters, after the collision left the Ford Taurus they were in pinned underneath the semi’s trailer. Both were rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center and were reported to be in critical condition. While the cause of the accident was not known, alcohol intoxication was eliminated as a possible cause.
