Bicyclist injured in Kankakee accident
A man was injured on Monday after a bicycle accident occurred in Kankakee.
According to local police, an 81-year-old bicyclist was injured after he was struck by the driver of a Pontiac Grand Prix that was allegedly driving in and out of the lanes of traffic.
The bicyclist was then transported to St. Mary’s Provena Hospital to be treated for injuries that are not considered life threatening. Two other drivers witnessed the accident and stopped to check on the bicyclist. Both drivers reported that the Grand Prix driver was driving recklessly across the roadway. No citations have been handed out at this time.
