1 Killed, 2 Injured in Illinois Car Accident
A woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a head-on car crash on Illinois Route 160.
Barbara Green was traveling southbound on Route 160 when a car driven by James Griesbaum swerved into the lane and struck Green’s vehicle head-on. Green was transported via helicopter to St. Louis University hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Gre isbaum and his passenger Ressie Woodcock were also injured in the crash and taken to a nearby hospital. Greisbaum is listed in serious condition and Woodcock is in critical condition. It was reported that Griesbaum may not have been wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Police say that alcohol has been confirmed as a factor in the crash.
