Middle school student struck by car in pedestrian accident

The Champaign Police Department is currently investigating an accident that left a 7th grade student injured after he was struck by a vehicle.

According to officials, the accident occurred on Monday at 3:03 p.m. when the student entered an intersection around a stopped school bus and was struck by a Jeep Cherokee. The boy was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
