Man dies in Berwyn House Fire

 

A house fire in the western suburb ofBerwyntook the life of a 56-year-old man.

 

The Berwyn Fire Department was called to the home of James Brelowski on the 2400 Block of South Euclid around 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. The home had a lot of content inside, making it difficult for the first responders to move around. About ten minutes from the time of the firefighters’ arrival, Brelowski was found on a stairway in the home in an unresponsive state.

 

Brelowski was taken to MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn where he was pronounced dead. The bungalow-style home received heavy damage in the in the attic and roof areas. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
