The affected products include the Lo/Ovral-28 tablets, and its generic forms, with the expiration date between July 2013 and March 2014. The products were distributed throughout the U.S. to pharmacies, clinics and warehouses.

According to the sheriff’s office in Champaign County, the accident was reported just before 9 a.m. when a passing motorist saw the truck resting on its wheels in a 20 foot ditch.

The ditch was filled with three feet of water and it was starting to get into the floorboards of the truck. A suit was filed last week by the parents of a now-7-year-old boy in the Cook County Circuit Court stating that the kindergartner was forced to crawl across an icy playground area after falling and breaking his leg.

Damages at the amount of $200,000 are being sought by the lawsuit according to the report.

A man was jogging through the Rainbow Beach Park on the Southside of Chicago when two large dogs attacked him, requiring hospitalization for the man.

Joseph Finley was jogging along the lakeshore as he usually does after working all night as a sleep therapist. Two pit bulls, who weighed seventy pounds each, attacked the jogger and bit him all over his body. A neighbor heard the man’s cries for help and used a bat to try to stop the attack.

Police arrived on the scene and were forced to shoot the dogs when they turned from Finley and rushed the officers.

It was later discovered that the dogs had been let out of their fenced yard by an unknown person. Finley was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition and his status has upgraded to stable.

A semi-truck rolled over following a collision with another truck that resulted in the semi driver’s death on December 6, 2011. The other driver refused medical treatment at the scene.

David Diding, of Joliet, was southbound on U.S. Highway 41 when his semi-tractor-trailer struck a truck being driven by Gary Gudeman, of Kentland, Indiana. Gudeman was trying to cross the highway at Princeton Parkway when his vehicle was struck by Diding’s semi. According to witnesses at the scene, the semi rolled over two or three times.

Diding was reportedly ejected from the vehicle. The 47 year-old-man was taken to Iroquois Memorial Hospital where he later died from massive internal injuries. Gudeman refused treatment at the scene. The accident is currently under investigation by Newton County sheriff’s police.

 The Albany Park neighborhood in Chicago was the scene of an accident on the morning of Monday, December 12 in which a car struck a pedestrian after hitting several parked cars. The vehicle then smashed into a flower shop.

The accident occurred around 7:15 in the morning as a pedestrian was waiting for the #82 Kimball/Homan bus at Irving Park Road. A silver Buick sedan was seen going faster than normal in a northerly direction on Kimball. The driver veered right and hit some parked cars before hitting the pedestrian. It then hit a black SUV and both vehicles crashed into Bonnie Flower Shop, going through the store front window.

The pedestrian was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital and was reported to be in critical condition. The driver was taken to a different hospital but that person’s condition is unknown at this time.
