A crash on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago resulted in two children being sent to Lurie’s Children Hospital.
On Wednesday August 8, a 2010 Ford Focus driven by Noel Morgan was driving on the 700 block of South Lake Shore Drive. Around 2:45 p.m., the Chicago resident hit a curb with his Ford and then struck a 2011 Jaguar before flipping over.
Both drivers were not injured in the crash. However, two children in the Ford were taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital. Doctors reported that the children’s injuries were not life threatening. Morgan was cited for driving too fast for the conditions.

Michigan Avenue on a late Sunday afternoon was the scene of an accident that injured two young girls who were attempting to cross the street.
On August 7, 2011 around 5:00 p.m., cab driver Friday Ekon of Richton Park was driving his vehicle southbound at the 500 North block of Michigan Avenue when two girls, ages 6 and 8, attempted to cross the street after exiting their vehicle. They were taken to Children’s Memorial Hospital. Preliminary information stated that the 8-year-old girl had a bruised abdominal area while the 6-year-old suffered a broken leg.
Both were last listed in critical condition.
Mr. Ekon, 65, was taken to Northwestern Hospital to be checked out. He was also given two citations for striking a pedestrian in the roadway.
