A head-on collision between a semi-truck and an American Red Cross vehicle forced authorities to shut down Illinois 3 for several hours on Wednesday. Sources say that one person in the Red Cross vehicle was killed and two other individuals involved in the accident were injured. A third vehicle may have been involved in the accident, but no injuries have been reported from an additional vehicle.
