Bicyclist Hit by Motorist in Kankakee
A Kankakee man riding his bike on Kennedy drive was hit by a motorist on Monday afternoon.
Kankakee resident Paul Krick was riding his bicycle on Kenendy Drive just north of Court Street on September 24. However, at Park Street the 81-year-old Krick was hit by a man driving a Pontiac Grand Prix.
Krick was taken to Provena St. Mary’s Hospital with injuries that were non-life threatening. The driver of the car reported to police that he was weaving in and out of traffic before hitting the bicyclist. Two other drivers who had stopped to check on Krick also stated they had seen the Grand Prix swerving. At this time, no citations have been issued.
